Hostels in Battambang
Pomme Hostel
The Pomme Hostel organizes super fun tours so you immediately get to know the whole group at the hostel. This makes it one of the most social hostels in Battambang. You have your own little private room for as little as €5 a night. There are no bunk beds but you are directly on the corridor so it does have the hostel vibe. A mega nice place and 100% recommended in Battambang!

The place
This is a nice social hostel with a rooftop bar where you can drink delicious cheap beers at night. There are several bathroom facilities in the building, you can ask the friendly staff to point them all out. The staff will also help you book tours and tickets if you want and the location is top notch, right in the center!

Ganesha Family
Ganesha is a wonderful, authentic place. The hostel is right in the middle of the historic center, in just the right location. The bunk beds are huge and comfortable. You really sleep wonderfully here. There are not as many travelers coming yet as at the other 2 hostels but there is a cozy atmosphere. The staff at Ganesha is super sweet and will also arrange (tuktuk) tours of the Battambang area for you.

Hostels in Kampot
Onederz kampot
What a wonderful hostel this is! It is a few minutes’ walk from downtown, has a great pool and a cozy common area. It looks more like a hotel than a hostel. Fun tours are organized by the staff and the food at the hostel is cheap and very tasty. Another plus is that there is a water tap so you can refill your own bottle. Truly a wonderful hostel that we recommend to everyone!

Karma traders kampot
This hostel is another great choice in Kampot. It is a cozy hostel, with very nice common areas. Here too is a lovely pool where you can cool off after a long day of travel, a rooftop, and every Friday is Open Mic. This is a wonderful way to meet new people at the hostel and have a super fun evening!

Bird’s nest
This is one of the cheapest hostels in Asia. It is very centrally located, close to downtown. The food you can get at Bird’s nest is very good and also cheap. The beds are comfortable and it is clean. A very good budget option in Kampot!

Hostels in Kep
Khmer hands
There are no hostels in Kep. Therefore, we have put the nicest hotels/guesthouses here. At Khmer Hands, you feel part of the family. It is in a beautiful location in the middle of nature. You can really completely unwind here. The owners are super friendly and cook extremely good food. This really is the perfect place to completely unwind and relax.

Jungle House
This is a wonderful stay in Kep. It really has jungle vibes, in the middle of nature. The owner has set it up like a hostel: there is a large common area with hammocks, a balcony and a chill area. This also makes it a social place. The owners are super sweet and can cook really great food.

Birds of paradise
Birds of Paradise is in a beautiful location in nature. The bungalows are large and very clean. It is a 5-minute walk from the Crab Market and a 10-minute walk from the National Park. You can also rent bicycles or scooters here. Breakfast is also very tasty!

Hostels on Koh Rong
firefly guesthouse
This is a very special hostel. In fact, it is located directly on the water! The Firefly Guesthouse is located on the north side of Koh Rong. From Sihanoukville, you have to take a special boat. This is all clearly explained via booking by the owner. They are both super nice people who will introduce you to local life on Koh Rong.

Villa Koh Rong
This is a wonderful accommodation with the sweetest staff. They will help you with all your questions: laundry, renting a scooter and much more. The hostel is close to the beaches and also close to the center of Koh Rong with all the nice restaurants and bars. It is about a 20-minute walk from the real party hostels. So you have no music nuisance here and sleep wonderfully!

Nest beach club
This is a real party hostel. It is located directly on the beach which gives it an extra fine atmosphere. It is a 15-minute walk from the main town of Koh Rong but everything you need can be found here. Every night there is a fun party but especially on Saturday it goes wild with the Nestival. Partygoers from all over Koh Rong come here then. It gives off some mini full moon party vibes 🙂

Hostels on Koh Rong Sanloem
Onederz koh rong sanloem
Onederz always has wonderful hostels. So is this one in Koh Rong Sanloem. It’s right on the beach, with hammocks and relaxing seating everywhere. There is a pool table and table tennis at the hostel on the beach. This is really a super cozy place for ultimate vacationing. The dorms are cleaned every day and what is also very nice is that you have your own fan by your bed! When music is played you do not hear it in the bedroom, the insulation is really very good!

Lazy Bones
This is a lovely hostel which is in the middle of nature. Yet it is also close to the nice restaurant, a 5-minute walk away. The owners are mega friendly! At check-in, they immediately show you everything: where to score the best breakfasts, where to do laundry and what are cozy restaurants. At Lazy Bones you can get a variety of drinks as well as fresh coconuts!

Mad Monkey sanloem
If you’re looking for a party hostel, Mad Monkey is the place to be. It is completely secluded so you are really here all day relaxing and at night partying. During the day, however, tours are organized from the hostel to go snorkeling or do a beach cleanup. A boat sails up and down to the island several times a day. In the evening, the games are pulled out and the party begins!

Onederz Phnom Penh
Onederz’s location is super central. It is a great hostel topped by the rooftop pool and rooftop bar! This really makes the hostel one of the best. There are not mega activities organized from Onederz itself but there are always fellow travelers who want to join you 🙂

The location of Nangkol Village is very good: right in the center. The beds in the dorms are mega comfortable, you will really sleep well here. It is also nice that there is a swimming pool at the hostel, along with a nice bar where you can get cheap beer. The staff is very attentive and asks well if they can help you with anything.

Mad Monkey phnom penh
This is another real party hostel. In the lovely pool upstairs, travelers chill and chat all day. In the evening, the music goes on until midnight and a good party is celebrated. The front desk will help you book various activities and bus tickets to Vietnam, Sihanoukville or even Siem Reap.

Hostels in Siem Reap
Onederz Siem Reap
Another Onederz. They just have very nice hostels! This hostel is another great choice in Siem Reap. They have two pools, one on the rooftop. The location is also perfect: next to the night market and a 3-minute walk from pub street. It is a mega social hostel. Every day many people go on tours to Angkor Wat where you can hook up. They also help arrange other activities. Truly a top choice for (solo) travelers.

Siem Reap Pub Hostel
This hostel is near Onederz so also in a very good location! There is a cozy swimming pool with a volleyball net where you can easily chat with other travelers. The beds in the dorms are very large and comfortable. There is also a pool table and a café/bar with very good food ánd cheap beer. In the afternoon, the music turns on and the atmosphere is nice. The hostel also arranges tours to Angkor Wat, the floating villages and much more.

Lub D Siem Reap
Siem Reap has the best hostels and this is another gem. The staff is super friendly and will help you out with social activities: beer pong, a walk through downtown, etc. They also organize tours to Angkor Wat. The hostel is a mix between a cozy social hostel and the occasional good party. There is a special work area where the wifi is very good and where you can work well should you need to. Lub D is a very fine choice in Siem Reap!

Hostels in Sihanoukville
Onederz Sihanoukville
This hostel sits in a good spot in downtown Sihanoukville. There is not much to do in town, it is mainly used as a layover for the ferry to Koh Rong the next morning. Then this hostel is perfect, it has a chill vibe, is cleaned well and there is a very nice pool.

Villa Blue Lagoon
This almost doesn’t look like a hostel but it is. It is in a beautiful place with a large pool and lots of beds. The staff is extremely friendly, really nice to have a chat with. Actually, this is the ultimate chill spot before you go to Koh Rong.

Paradise cozy guesthouse
This is not really a hostel, as there are only 2 in Sihanoukville. Still, this is also a good option to stay for a night. You can have a good rest here in the lovely bed. Nearby, like everywhere else in Sihanoukville, there is not much to do. The room is very comfortable, you will really relax well here.
